Thangles

You may be wondering what they are, how they work, and what the difference is if you just do it yourself. Well then you have come to the right place.

Thangles are a great way to get half square triangles out of any size strip. first you find the fabric you want to use, put them right sides together and then pin a strip of Thangles on the top of them. You will notice that once the Thangles strip is on top then you can sew where the dotted lines are on the paper making it easy to create the perfect half square triangle.

Once that is done you can just use a pair of fabric scissors and cut the triangles out cutting on the black lines .

These are also heat resistant so you can iron on them just like if they weren't there at all. The trick is to iron the seem flat before you rip off the paper, this will help to strengthen your pressing. Then when all is pressed and set you carefully rip the paper off.

Ta Da, you have the perfect half square triangles to work with.
